The purpose of this policy is to establish the guidelines for the provision of financial and other socio support to Bamaga community stakeholders, individual Bamaga residents and their families.
The implementation of this program aims to relieve or prevent poverty [or financial hardship] among disadvantaged indigenous people of Bamaga (and the Northern Peninsula Area (NPA) where organisations service the whole of the NPA by providing sponsorship and donations, training, employment and job opportunities, enterprise creation, products, equipment and services, advocacy and education and all the necessary support designed to enable individuals to generate a sustainable income and be self-sufficient.
Bamaga Community Fund Socio Support Policy covers the following area of financial socio support:
